Went docs lunchtime to get results of my blood tests. All ok, liver, kidneys, iron, ovaries, blood count etc. Only slightly raised colesterol. She gave me advice to bring it down, cos I didnt fancy statins, and I asked for another test in 3 months which she agreed to. So quite pleased really. :-)

It's not fit for purpose, so I think you have legal rights.
The advice teams on TV say that your contract is with the person who supplied the machine to you.
Best not to try 'fixing' it yourselves though, as they might use that as a 'get out' clause.

I would be furious, if that were me as you've had it such a short time.
You might just as well take your washboard and go down the river bank :-| :-|

I googled that too, Belle, and saw others who had problems as well as others. Who wrote that their machines were ok.

Checked with Beko twice and got no joy there. I am going to ring the supplier (Currys) as it is£140 if Beko has to send an engineer !
