....some night vision goggles! Mummy owl is giving the babies flying lessons tonight. It seems one is reluctant to come out of the nest, but the other is perched on top of my chimney. Hope he doesn't slip!

So do I Sue! lol It's a bit dark out there, but I could see their silhouttes on the chimney, and they are constantly calling to each other

How wonderful to know that those beautiful birds are so close. I hope all goes well with the young ones. I don't know much about owls.......Do they return to shelter in the nest....or is that it, ...The Big Wide World now? Gwyn

I don't know if they get turfed out straight away Gwyn, but I believe that when they are big enough to leave the nest and fend for themselves, they are chased right out of the parents territory. Mum and Dad will stay here but the young 'uns have to find their own patch
