Mums sister came to visit today.They are 77 and 78 and only known each other 2 years.They were adopted at 2yrs and 3 yrs.There mum died and dad had to give them up.We have found there mums grave and mums sister gave mum money today to buy flowers to put on the grave.Mums sister lives miles away.I am taking mum next week. Annie

Annie, my father hadn't had contact with his brother for 15 years. Because we are here in Australia it was hard to repair old wounds. We took my parents to England in 2004 and I brought about a reunion. They were so happy to spend some time together as they are the only ones left in that generation. All past problems were forgotten. Three months after we returned home Dad was diagnosed with cancer and two years later he was gone. I will always be thankful that I took the time to find my uncle and bring the two brothers together. My uncle is still going strong at 87 y.o. Susan xx

Not surprised your eyes were a bit wet ! It must have been lovely to see the two of them together and I hope they can spend more time together in the future. Nice to read of happy endings. Liz
