Ah but Chris I wasn't ready for summer in April. Kept thinking it wouldn't last - just nature playing a cruel joke so didn't make the most of it. I should have, shouldn't I? I regret it now. Oh boo hoo! I'm going to unpack my winter woollies and clean off my boots and sulk - big time! J |

You have all forgotten - we have had summer this year, about 4 glorious (too hot for some including me) weeks - but what has thrown you all is that it was April and not June/July. Most years June was not glorious as it usually rained around Wimbledon time. |

Glad you liked the song lol. The weather has been so bad it's not doing some flowers /plants a lot of good. I bought some plastic flowers and ivy and put it in a hanging basket look pretty good I must say. I even put some compost in it lol Marion |

I think we are all getting 'dodgy' weather. Shops are full of unsold BBQ's and summer clothing. Now is the time to get yourself a bargain. Marion |

Looking at some of the threads tonight, thought this was the best lol THE WELLY BOOT SONG Billy Connolly If it wasn't for your wellies where would you be You'd be in the hospital or infirmary 'Cause you would have a dose of the flu or even pleurisy If you didn't have your feet in your wellies Oh wellies they are wonderful, oh wellies they are swell 'Cause they keep out the water and they keep in the smell And when you're sitting in a room you can always tell When 'somebody' takes off their wellies ( have changed the word) Marion |

I'm not a sun worshipper either but I want a bit of heat on my bones before winter comes back. Although down here it's like winter's never been away! We had that lovely week in April when I dragged out all the summer gear and put all my woollies in a suitcase in the loft. Most of the summer gear is in a HUGE ironing pile!! And I'm freezing most of the time!!!! I'm a bit grumpy this evening! J |

OK so where is it? Where is the heat? Where are those blue blue skies that go all the way up to the sun? Or better still those white skies! When is it going to be so hot that the ice in my G & T melts before I finish it? When is it going to be so hot that I have to open all the windows and sleep with just a top sheet on and even then it’s too hot? When is it going to be so hot that all I can wear is something really really thin that doesn’t fit anywhere and it’s so old and looks so awful but hey it’s hot and who cares what I’m wearing? When all the seagulls are flying about up there in the thermals and not sitting around on next door’s roof squawking? When I walk out of the air conditioned office at the end of the day and want to fall over because the heat is just toooooo much? And the washing takes no time to dry and the ironing is done in a minute - 'cos who cares that the baggy old thin thing is wrinkled? Am I alone here? Jill |
