My uncle Leslie Irwin or so I thought, but apparantly born out of wedlock, in 1911 registered in March 1912 as Leslie Barron Gillott I know he was born In Gateshead, County Durham, died in Epping Forrest 2002. Cannot find a marriage for him, although I know he married and had kids.

Missing a mixed bunch in 1901. Alice Moncar (late White, formerly Brewer, could have been registered as Nash). Born 1867 - probably in London. Possible 'husband' Joseph Moncar - know absolutely nothing about him except his name. Apparently Alice 'took up with a chap called Moncar' after her first husband - Edmund Titus White - committed suicide in Sep 1897. Several children - 4 or 5 of them would be named White. Caroline - 1887?, my nan Alice 1889, Henry 1893 (he is with grandparents in Mason Street in 1901) and then 1 or 2 others - not sure how many as I know at least one of them died young. Then, born in 1898 - (one year, one week after Alice's first husband died) we have Rosetta Moncar (dob 5.10.1898). At the time of Rosetta's birth Alice was living at 10 Felix Road, Lambeth. In 1901 - ?? I have tried everything. My latest venture is trawling through the census page by page looking for any family that might be them! I think she went into hiding! Fingers crossed - now that I've shared them I'll probably find them tomorrow!! Jill

I don't think my JONES have featured as a search on General...although I have mentioned what a pain they are. Lost in 1861....probably in Southampton, where she married in 1865 Charlotte Alice JONES, born in 1846 in Southampton, daughter of George JONES ( labourer then general dealer) and Emily ( nee POWELL)...( have birth cert.)
