Barbeque tomorrow - daughter's partner's dad's birthday!! Hope all goes well on 07.07.07. He needs a new kidney. He had a transplant that should have lasted 10 years - 25 years later it's on it's last legs!! Visiting my mum in hospital either Sunday or Monday. She had a heart op today - it was meant to be a replacement valve, but they managed to mend her own valve!! Much better, as at 77 she had the choice of a tissue replacement valve that would last, at most 10 years or a mechanical that would last forever, but mean increasing amounts of warfarin! As mum's mum lived to be 99, mum decided on the mechanical as she thought they would be reluctant to operate on an 87 year old - but that is all in the past - she has her own valve!!! Not only that, we told she would be kept under sedation until Sunday, but they woke her up today!! :o) maggie
