Didn't watch the programme, but I do feel that if western governments are really concerned, they should take some positive action and introduce a few serious measures instead of pussyfooting about. Rather than bleating about China increasing their number of power stations (70% of it's population still has no access to elecrticity) perhaps they should take measures to reduce our consumption of electricity and other resources - only one of an electrical appliance per household, limit our water supply, ban completely certain kinds of packaging or goods etc etc. They won't, because it would be unpopular.. Has anybody seen this documentary with Al Gore ? I must admit i had my own views about global warming and how i believed that this is natures way of doing things . Well i watched this after downloading it and.............. OH........ MY .........GOD....! If anybody has any doubts about the real seriousness of global warming , then you must watch this . This is nothing like anything that has ever happened before on this planet. My feelings have actually changed on this matter and i'm not the type that is easily influenced . If a government health warning should be aired on our screens , then this should be it |
