Irish, There,s a new pill over here called Chantix but it,s by prescription only. It supposedly blocks the part of the brain that craves nicotine. Not sure if it,s available in Britain yet. |

Hi Lynne, I'm a non smoker, hubby stopped on Monday, he has been wanting to do it for years. He did/is, with patches, he was advised by doc at work. There is lots of support if you want to give up, your doctor will help you. Good luck Hev x |

There are at least two people on these boards who said 'That's it. I have stopped.' - and did! No patches, pills, weeks of build up. One of my friends ran out of fags when it was raining. Decided there was no way he was going to get wet just for a fag and stopped. Are you reading this? Put your fags away, you have stopped smoking. Seriously, until you decide you have stopped (not decided to try and stop) you won't - my chemist and doctor agree on that! Clive |

Anybody on here that has tried it ? And is it available without prescription? Thank you Hope you all have a lovely Day Take care Lynne. |
