I am not religious but if I was, and if I was a Muslim militant, I would be musing over the fact that since the July 2005 bombings several attacks have gone horribly wrong for the bombers, apparently by the intervention of fate. The bombs failed to go off, an ambulance team reported a suspicious vehicle, a car-bomb was towed away, the latest one failed to knock down bollards. I would be feeling that Allah had set his face against the bombing of innocent people. I do not think I would be tempted to persist in case Allah decided I needed the fact to be brought home more forcibly. |

They are terrorising people as much in the name of Allah as the IRA were terrorising people in the name of God. In other words, these people are not true Moslems. Islam is in actual fact a more peaceable religion than Christianity - which actually tells people to go to war!! maggie |

Maggie The analogy with the IRA is a good one - young, hot headed men, fired up by old men, to go and do their dirty work for them. This has nothing to do with any religion, it is about power and hatred. OC |
