Thanks, Hayley. :-)) I'd like to have seen that bit, though knowing me I'd probably have had a little cry. Though she had her faults, I still thought she was lovely, unlike certain members of the Royal Family........ (not Wills or Harry). x

I wasn't going to watch it,but glad I did, thought the show was great. Parts I liked that wasn't about the music really, were the scenes of the young royals enjoying themselves dancing and clapping. I also liked the bits shown of Jason Donovan and David Beckham holding their children and singing along. Wembley stadium looked spectacular. Mau

I loved the concert too - the Princes really enjoyed themselves didnt they! I taped it, so didnt watch all of it, but saw Elton John singing at the end. Did he sing Candle in the Wind, the one he sang at Diana's funeral? He adapted the words, so it was Goodbye English Rose. He had said that he would never sing those words again, but I heard that the Princes asked if he would sing it tonight. Does anyone know if he did sing it tonight? Jan

Hi Hayley, Thanks - I suppose it would have been just too emotional if he had sang it. It must have been a strange day for the Princes - happy that things were going well and enjoying the concert, but at the same time, seeing all the photos and films of Diana and hearing all the nice stories about her, they must have been sad and upset too. Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 2 Jul 2007 01:00

I recorded the whole thing on the dvd so have it to keep - I watched lots in between running in and out doing laundry and gardening and getting dinner, but missed some bits. I too loved watching the 'personal' bits with Prince Andrew's girls bopping away and the Princes enjoying it with their friends and Harry's girlfriend, and David Beckham and others with their children. Who was the chap sitting next to William, was it Tom Parker Bowles or just a friend of Wills'. I think their whole family should be proud of all they helped to arrange and despite their advantaged upbringing they seem very grounded and down to earth young men, I liked Harry's message to his fellow servicemen and the obvious closeness between the brothers. I was also very impressed with the work Harry is doing with the charity in Lesotho, he was wonderful with the children there and was so like his mother. I have seen William in a similar role elsewhere and he is the same. All in all, a great success, altho I do wish I had bought a ticket and been there myself. A wonderful memorial to Diana, may she rest in peace. Liz
