My 13 year old grandaughter had a op yesterday after treading on glass. She is in my care as parents are away. She has been hard work as she has many friends that have all wanted to visit hospital. She is also very loud and wild. The nurses thought she was great and wanted to keep her still. They said she was entertainment. She told her mum in a phone call that she only had a 80% chance of surviving and she nearly lost. They had to give her electrodes on her chest and her chest hurts. She has had electic shocks and her hair has gone frizzy and the op lasted 4 hours. She has been brilliant and caused many a laugh this week-end in the ward.Love you loads Hannah. Hope her foot heals ok and she isn't too bored while she is getting well. You certainly have your hands full, she sounds a real character. Liz |
