Well it's taken just short of a week to get my internet connection back after the floods...................................Hope the rain stays away for today Maddie ( in a very damp and smelly Sheffield!!)

Oh maddies Im glad you are ok, I mentioned you in one of the threads about the flooding, when i was there for 4 years there was never any flooding, very scary, Caz xxx

Hi..................We're ok, our house is sat on a hillside so we escaped, the houses down at the bottom took it bad and are preparing with the sandbags for another night of rain. Daughter had her navy interview on Monday ( passed ) in Sheffield city centre, we managed to get out around 1pm and make our way home round the country lanes.......very scarey, driving through water that came over the bonnet of the car, OH was calm, I wasn't....................... friends weren't so lucky and spent the night stranded in the city centre.
