isnt it annoying when you get a really strong match and they dont respond to your request to see their tree? i know there are lots of reasons why people dont respond, could have left the site etc, but it still bugs. i was so excited too. is there a way of seeing if a member is still active? thanks, paul...

send them a message saying you have just won the lotto and are doing your tree and you think they might be related dont tell them you only won a tenner though

Yes Paul.... Someone on this site has my paternal grandmother in her tree. I have pm'd 3 times without success. I was so excited when I first discovered it but am resigned to the fact that I am not going to hear anything. Hope you and the family are all well :))) Jean x.

I know mate, I have a man born Wilmington london in 1947 same name Yost (Rodney) and has to site numbers here but can,t get hold. Our family lived there from 1914 to 1958 and he has 2 names on my site that match (with a name like mine this is hard) but he never answered so assume he cancelled or worse.

don't give up because I got a response from someone this week and I couldn't even remember sending the message it was so long ago.the lady said she had been away with work for 3 months and had just got around to checking her messages. Paula.

what also annoying is that you contact them and they reply saying that there is a match and then they don't respond again.........really annoying when its someone that you can't find any info on and you know that the person could tell you what you need to know, ggggrrrrrrrrr Karen
