Thanks, am trying to piece together the life of my great gran, who isnt on BMD or the census despite being born in 1890!! Not only that, but neither of her 2 marriages seem to be listed! Am thinking she may have used an alias, for some bizarre reason. Only have her on my grans birth cert. Claire, I dont suppose the names Gentina Roberts/Price/Edwards mean anything to you? She was born a Roberts, married Percy Price in Bridgend, then married Alan Edwards in Newport, where she died in 1966. Im off to bed, as Im so tired and I KNOW baby will be up at 5am! Night all xxx |

I live in between the two, but closer to Bridgend, and I would have guessed at 32 miles so 31.3 is pretty accurate I'd say. |

My OH (who hasn't lived there for many years!) says it is about 20 miles, but I would get other opinions before taking that as gospel! Hope it helps. Frances |

How far is Newport from Bridgend please? Or even better, how far is Newport from Brynmenyn - although most people havent heard of that! |
