Belts on washing machines

If the belt has gone you can check by putting your hand in and turning the drum. If there's a lot less resistance than usual, it could be the belt. Rose |

Definitely sounds like the brushes. Can you see if it will work when empty. If it does then it probably is, as the weight of the washing stops the drum turning. Speaking from experience as this has happened to me many times. Brushes are quite cheap to replace. |

Does anyone know how you can tell if its gone? My machine has been noisy for past few days.Put it on this morning and water went in but then nothing happened, whatever cycle i tried.Drum wasnt turning, This is the 3rd time a washer has gone on me while my hubbie is away, Help please!!! Caz xxx |
