That's the thing Caz...Maz' looks great now but I saw it almost from the beginning and know how hard she has had to work to 'knock' into shape. Mind you she is beginning to reap the rewards now. Glad you have got yours but I don't envy you the hard work:))) Jean x. |

Catherine.... Maz has done wonders. When she first took over the allotment in Feb. it was just all brambles. She cleared all of those and has planted up quite a lot of it now with vegetables and fruit. My grandson has shown a real interest and they were giving out childrens plots today and he has taken one on. Bless. Remains to be seen how hard he will work at it :)) Jean x. |

Maz in the East End has an allotment and today the site had a Childrens Open Day which included building a wigwam, pond dipping, butterfly walk, etc etc. The whole site is a conservation area and is an oasis of calm in a very busy, noisy part of London. She very kindly invited me, my daughter and grandson who is 7. The weather was very good to us and it didn’t start to rain until after we had decided to leave. Thankyou Maz for a wonderfully, enjoyable and different day out and for introducing my grandson to a gardening hobby which I am sure he will have for the rest of his life. Jean x. |
