Thanks for your replies and comments. If I thought I saw a child that had been reported missing, I would try to get as close as possible to that child, and the people who were with her. If I had a camera or cam-corder with me, I would pretend to be taking shots of scenery/person I was with, but make sure it included the suspects and missing child. After all, what could they do in a crowded place? Also, someone said call out her name, another good idea. LLxx

LL s my husband said, he would just shout 'Maddie' and see if there was any reaction. If not, no harm done, if there is a response, alert the police and not let the girl and who she is with go until the police investigate. I am going to Turkey next week and will have my eyes peeled constantly. Best wishes Carol

I can't understand folk who make a report hours later saying they might have seen the child. Surely if they thought it was Maddie, or any other missing child, they would do something there and then. What would you do? I'd go right up and ask to see and speak to the child and make a big noise so others around knew what I was doing. Daphne

I am really worried about the 'apparent' incompetence of the Portuguese Police. The fact that they are trying to lay blame with the already distressed family just leaves me gobsmacked. Apparently, the family have interfered with clues and evidence by entering the building to look for her. Well, what WERE they supposed to do? I think if the police had got their fingers out and not pussyfooted around, there would have been a damn good chance of finding her, safe and well. NOW, I am not so hopeful. LLx

Is it true that the parents left their apartment door unlocked when they went out for a meal that day? and left Maddie and the other two children in the unlocked room? Betty

I heard on the lunch time news that there had been 5 separate sightings in Malta. Lets hope she is found soon. Tina x

apparently they are now searching malta!! there have been about 5 reports of a little girl fitting maddies description being seen on the island. i do hope they soon find her susie

Everything seems to have gone very quiet. Last I heard, Portuguese Police were trying to lay blame on Maddies Parents and family, for entering apartment trying to look for her. LLx
