Slug & Lettuce

Slug & Lettuce Report 22 Jun 2007 09:56

Hi Joan, It is pretty rural where I live.........but no idea where the name came from. Used my name when I first started, but was told to change it when I first appeared on here and this was the only thing that came to mind.... ... Anyway, I tried to think of another name, but it was very difficult. then my children saw it, they said, you have completely flipped now. Change it, it looks sad..... So I thought if it irrates them, it will do for me, its good to wind them up sometimes..... THEN searching on my tree, found one of my Norfolk rellies, lived in a house that has now been turned into a pub and someone on here told me that it is owned by a chain of pubs called 'Slug & Lettuce' .....so must have been ancestral intervention. Sorry Colin didnt mean to go on............. Ria xxx

If only. No but the rest of the family had to pay for the spilt contents. That was after the entire village had sobered up. It was a small sacrifice for the greater cause.........so the story goes..... LOL Ria xxx

BBC News has a story (Maps reveal 'unhealthy' England) of interest to some today. Living in a town knocks years off your life. Living in a town in the North West is even worse. Is Liverpool in the North West? lol Clive
