Hi Tracey my insurance is with EXCEL , I have a number of medical problems , heart .dvt, MOH has blood pressure problems , big time. our insurance is annually , with no excess .Feb this yr we had booked for Goa 3 weeks and I had a problem only after hospital and GP agreed 12hrs before hand I was allowed to fly this company very good . But shop around and don't forget your e11 . you will get insurance , but will have to pay more. Its no different to car insurance , thats why you have to shop around . Good Luck

My bil has a heart condition and has even had a heart operation, but he gets cover from his bank which I think is Barclays, which my sister says is reasonable and he is fully covered for his heart condition. Sue

Tracy TSB/Lloyds bank give very good travel ins.if you're a member. My OH has a medical condition and we were given very good cover, you pay a yearly fee but there are many benefits. Might be worth your while to pay them a visit. Hope this helps. Mau xx

I think that is the trouble with Annual travel ins - it is relatively cheap but it is only for people who aren't ill!!!

I have a ''pre existing condition'' & on my insurance I know I'm not covered if I am under going treatment! I suppose the only way round is is to get a higher priced insurance that will cover you.

Have today tried to re-new our annual travel ins & because my husband has high blood pressure which is controlled by medication. they will insure him for theft & accidents etc but NOT if he falls ill due to his blood pressure,He is only 45. Has any one else had this problem or any suggestions ? have 2 hols booked and not sure what to do regards Tracey
