I didn't have that reaction when I had the Hep A and typhoid and yellow fever for South Africa, but I did have a funny one when I had my diptheria-tetanus-polio one. I was 16 (should have had it at 14, but too scared of the needle) and I remember feeling so ill the next day at school (my arm felt really heavy, too) that I went to the office and they called my mum to pick me up. |

typical symptoms of the jabs.(Typhoid) I had mone in 1990 for a trip to Tunisia. I was warned my arms would be a bit sore & I may have fluish symptoms a few days later which would be harmless. Two days later I felt like I had a heavy cold, that wasnt too bad, but my arms ached like hell. To make matters 100% worse, I was cleaning the enrober (Chocolate machine at work) when the window which was pushed up fell....and hit the top of one arm. can you imagine what I said Thats right &%^!?*!! Elaine x :o)) |

Hi Irish girl. Yes, I remember it more vividly than childbirth! My OH and I had the injections at the same time and I remember argueing as to who was going to turn the light out when we went to bed...the pain was so severe for both of us, we couldn't move. (It stayed on all night) I hope you have suffered this because you are about to embark on a fantastic bit of travel...if so have a great time. If not... commiserations .... keep moving the arm, the pain goes quicker. Tina x silly me, just read... for your holiday! Where are you going? |

That does sound painful. When I had my tetanus booster my arm was slightly swollen & sore for a few days, but I think thats normal. You should go back to docs if it continues, hope you get sorted soon xx |
