Shelli Tolmers is a nice campsite, lots of good activities our camp was the same as yours...very wet...the cubs had to abandon camp early, although the scouts stuck it out....took all week to dry the tents we had a fantastic time though climbing and canoeing |

OK Maz tobe honest think they'd enjoy it if it was just a field as they love just mucking around and getting dirty without getting told off.. well my boys do anyway. Anywa kel would still be going even if you said it was rubbish.. i've paid a non refundable deposit pmsl |

Hi Shelli It seemed a nice enough place, but I've got nothing to compare it to really! I know there is a little shop there and a loo block. They had loads of activities laid on and they had campfires, barbies to use etc. probably no different from many others I suppose! Maz. XX |

Maz do let me know what he thinks of Tolmers as Kel is off there in the summer with the rangers!!!! Our district camp didn't quite go as planned.. firstly Ben couldn't go, cos he broke his collarbone, twins still went but we had to colect them early due to the fact we'd had more rainfall in 36 hrs than we normally have in mth!!! oh and that was also the weekend I got my bad news!! LOl so not one of the best!!! I'm off with our cubs at teh end of the mth on a weekend camp... love it. Really pleased he had a good time and he know will want togo all the time xxxxx |

well he's back and glued to last night's Doctor Who! first load is in the machine - he got his trainers wet yesterday and they weren't dry today - omg the smell from his feet!!! he only has some extra socks and is missing a pair of his - not too bad! sleeping bag and pillow came back clean thankfully! he had a great time - ate things he doesn't touch at home - did canoeing, climbing wall, air rifle shooting, inflatable obstacle course, singing round the campfire etc etc etc apparently he was just about the best behaved one there so I am sooo pleased! Well, he has lasted the whole weekend! Not heard a word from Akela, so can only assume he has had a whale of a time and their tents have not been washed away! Think the washing machine will be a bit busy later though lol Maz. XX |
