I would have thought Cherie because of her own professional position and also as wife of the PM should have accorded the Queen a little respect.

I dont think I would either...im rather in favour of a republic actually..although I accept that a monarchy does make the UK perhaps a more romantic? place because we still have a queen/king, and hence increases tourist spending.

Watching the memorial service the other day in tribute to the Falklands war dead - the Queen was being presented to guests outside the church - do not know who they all were but recognised our beloved leader and his wife, Margaret Beckett - all the men bowed and all the women curtsied with the exception of one - ignorant cat otherwise known as Cherie Blair. (She barely inclined her head) To my mind it is a mark of respect to bow/curstey to our Queen. What do you think?
