I asked my husband as he is from that part of Liverpool,he said that there were lots of stables at that time ,his own father ,uncles and grandfather all had horse and carts as had many others in that area this was how they earned their living by moving and delivering goods especially as it was close to the docks.Sorry can't be any more help. she's gone out but I'll try and catch her when she's back. Any idea of the road? Sometimes local books of the area contain photographs or Liverpool Record office may hold photogrpahs of the area. |

1940's, Vauxhall, city centre area. Any scousers remember any? I found out my great gran had one but don't know what it was called. She was Annie Rainford nee Griffiths. Apparently she refused to tell her grandkids where it was or take them there, very strange indeed. |
