Has anyone ever made a Chilli-Con- Carne with Minc

Forgot to get minced Beef today, but have some minced Lamb in the freezer. Do you think Hubby will tell the difference? Jenny. |

no - if it was turkey mince maybe but not lamb & beef. Mind you this is coming from someone who couldn't tell the difference between a roast lamb & a roast beef - it was the way my mum cooked it!!! I could only tell by what sauce we had on the table!!! |

Not unless you tell him. I'm sure it will be tasty and he'll be none the wiser. I have even added Weetabix to mince in the past,to 'stretch' it..... in Bolognaise, when the children's friends have suddenly been invited for tea ...... and no one knew. Gwyn |

Well, he has gone for a couple of pints, his weekly ration since being told he is Diabetic. Two go to his head now, so perhaps he'll not notice. Gwynn, I like Weetabix, but Gosh you were pushing your luck. Hope you can make the Coventry meet, it looks like I can, cant wait to see you after all this time. Jenny. x |
