Know how you feel as I didn't sleep much when I got to bed and have been in and out all day, doing chores then going back for a nap, all I can suggest is a cup of Valerian tea with honey and try again. Take care, Liz

I went through a phase of not being able to get to sleep, thank God when I moved 6 weeks ago, the problem sorted itself. Youve probably heard this, but the root of the problem needs resolving - ie, Worry? Anxiety? Noise? etc, etc. Sleeping pills can be good for short term use, unless you're in sole charge of young kids. And no smoking in bed, as they might send you to sleep quicker than you expect. I could fall asleep eventually if I had the TV on quietly in the bedroom, dont know if this might work for you?

Oh poor you Gwyn. Hope you get some sleep soon. My lad had that trouble when he was on nights it is the shifting about of shift doesn't help at all. Have you tried Kalms they are good didn't help me much but mine was womans trouble growing out of it lol. But that is what the nurse at the doctors recommended better than trying sleeping tablets that you could get hooked on Oh and some lavendar oil on your pillow. Germaine x
