Have a lovely time. Annie, my friend is English, a Norfolk gal, and her hubby is German but he is a really nice chap, we get on well. Not sure how I will manage with her inlaws tho, they live in a sort of culdesac next door to her parents in law and her sister in law and her bloke, who is apparently a real idiot. The old folk make my friend's life difficult, she works from home as a beautician and also has an African Art shop in the basement, as they were in Nigeria for a long time and she has lots of stuff, but the inlaws think as she is there, she can keep doing things for them. My friend's daughter is 18 next month so wouldn't mind popping over then. |

Lynda & PP thank you for the tips on the health form. Yes the flights are with Air Berlin but I used the cheapflights(.)co(.)uk search engine so that I could check a few different options I'm flying to Paderborn so wanted to see a mixture of different departure and arrival times. Like I said above haven't seen Leanne for over 3 years and and when I did see her last it was very short and sweet as she was visiting her mum and i had just moved back to Leeds from Manchester and had been going through a bad time myself. Am spending 7 days out there so it should be fab. |

You can apply for the card online it is much quicker. It is now called European Health Insurance Card and is like a credit card. Mine is valid until 2011 Hope you have a great time in Germany we used to visit our son and family there and loved it, but they came home again after two years and I was so disappointed!!! Linda x Ps Liz we used to fly Air Berlin as they had some great deals. |

Alaina, the E111 is a card now I think, but ask at the Post Office, I think that is where you can still get them. |

I will do thanks! I just asked her on MSN whether I would need insurance or anything she replied with this comment which is just typical Leanne: 'well we dont ever get it have u got a e111 form that might come in handy its free form for health care in the eu but i will register your stay and if ought happens u can get military care for when u get alcohol poisioning' So looks like theres going to be plenty of drinking and cavorting with the lovely Army lads lol No doubt she'll try and get me married off while I'm there so that I have to stay! |

Hi Alaina, have a good time! This year we took my mother-in-law to Boston to see her cousin whom she hadn't seen for 56 years. The first thing they said to each other was 'You haven't changed a bit!' So enjoy catching up! |

I'm going to see one of my oldest friends at the beginning of June, She lives in Germany and we haven't seen each other for over 3 years, just been having a look at flight prices and have found a really cheap rtn flight from Manchester am so chuffed. Her hubby is in the army and stationed over there and she keeps telling me how good the weather is and how much i would love the place so I thought sod I'm going to have myself a likkle holiday even if its the only one i get this year! At least I've found a way to treat myself with all that cig money i have saved so far! |
