If we all donated the price of a pint to Stephens fund, we would soon reach our target. Enjoy your weekend. |

Hi, can I just add this please. As most of you know I started the GB Relay, for the Pink Fund for Cancer Research UK. I didnt realyl understand the 'Gift Aid' thingy for quite a time. Just an example of what I learnt last weekend, after i was given cheques totaling £295.00 and cash £150.44p at the Liverpool meet. Hubby took the £150.44p cash and made a cheque out to CRUK for the same amount and on the back of it declared that he was a Tax Payer and wanted his donation 'Gift Aided' We have also attatched a written note, stating the same. You have to add your name and address and Post Code. I am sure I have read somewhere that by doing this you actually raise another 28p for every £1 raised. in other words the cash I recieved has raised an extra £48 odd. I stand to be corrected if needed. . Pink Diana will explain better than me. Jenny xx |

You are right, we have over £150 in gift aid, if you are a tax payer, the government contribute-thanking you for letting peeps no this, so if you donate you get a little of your tax back-now what better excuse do you need. Bless you and thank you for being here. |
