Yes!! It was marvellous!! My g grandad was a steward on liners at the time and amongst other places, he went to China, Japan and India. It was fascinating to see the world as he would have seen it. maggie

Would have been very interesting for you then Maggie. The colour of the pictures was wonderful,I wanted to see more and more! didn't want prog. to end. What a fascinating glimpse into how the world was then. Sad though to see Japanese girls with their feet bound wasn't it?

It was interesting to see them walking. The way the woman walked was described as 'elegant' by a man - looked awkward to me - but I can't even walk in heels!!!! maggie

I used to love walking in very high heels, when I was younger. Thought winkle pickers were it! but my big toes have suffered as a consequence ( I tell girls in shoe-shops not to wear them lol ) but doubt they'll take any notice,well I didn't lol it was fashion for us but for those in Japan it must have been torture!
