David, Well, I did think that But, well you know what she's like, Where she gets her 27 and a half from I dont know! I want to stay on her good side now that I live so close, You never know what she could do with her zimmer if I bumped into her round the school!! Pat

Gypsy, I put a thread on the tips board v recently about something to do with the Boswell's on ebay. The sale has probably ended now tho.

TA Thanks for that. I joined but didnt see that message, Maybe im looking in the wrong place! lol. Even if I could find out a bit more about the film, ie where it was filmed, It might help me to decide if my family were there or not! I've heard so many stories about my lot, It's hard to believe that they are all true!! Pat

Pat My paternal grandmother was an actress in the Twenties, her stage name was Isabel Norman. When I googled film 'The Romany' one of the cast was an Irene Norman! .........what if? Will never know.......... Mau xx

Hal, Believe it or not, I don't have any Lee's in my tree!! Mine are mostly Finney's and Boswell's. My nan did do the crystal ball during WW2 to get money and food from the black market though! Pat

Lynda, I know! Finally made contact with a sort of cousin (you know what it's like!) She told me about the film, I knew there was a link to the actor, but noot a particular film. Now I need to get hold of a copy to see for myself! She also told me a BIG family skeleton!!! OOOhhh. xxx Rebekah, That's my line! :o) Pat.

Mau, Have you seen it? Im not really interested in Victor (sorry) except that my g uncle was apparently in the film also. I know he must have known (or maybe just known of!) Victor because he named his first son Victor Mclaglen and his second son Leopold (Victors brothers name). Pat

He was in some good films Pat. He was in one of my favourite films The Quiet man with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara

He played the Chief in it I think?? Havent got a copy tho...sorry. He lived 1886-1959, died of a heart attack.

have you tried play.com, or ebay, theres also amazon, or try searching the film title and see what your puter can find.. sharon

Does anyone know a good site where i might find an old film. Its called The Romany and starred Victor Mclaglen. Made in 1922. Pat
