Bless him, what a kind little boy, and how proud his Mum must have been. There are many nice youngsters around with decent caring parents, I hope he grows up to have a long and happy life. I bet your Stephen was watching him and smiling. Liz |

Whilst doing the boot sale for my Stephens Memorial on Sunday, we placed an empty water bottle by the side of our stall-with a SADS poster on and asking for coppers for his appeal. Along came a little lad about 6, with his Mum, and he spotted this bottle and asked his Mum if he could put his 20p. in it. Mum said if you are sure, as its your last. The little lad said he wanted to, I was so touched as he dropped his 20p into the bottle, that I invited him to pick a game. He got down on his knees and looked at all the games, and picked one, then looked at his Mum, she said to him to pick it up, and he said but Mum I've got no money, I then said no but you have plenty of good manners and a big heart. He walked away with his game and a great big grin on his face. Made my day. |
