moment please.

I'm off to bed on a very sad note. Tried to cheer myself up by posting a daft limerick thread to myself but hasn't really worked. One of the lovely gentlemen it has been my priviledge to look after as a care worker died last week and I only found out today. I hadn't seen him for a few weeks as I don't care for him on a permanent basis and he was quite ill when I visited him a couple of days before he died. Leaving his home I bumped into my daughter's best friend's mum. It was only her dad I had been looking after. What a coincidence that I had been caring for him previously. Quite shocked that he has passed away. Must be delayed reaction. I get so protective of all my peeps. Thankfully he was one of those who was loved and looked after by his family. Unfortunately I have some who are abandoned by theirs. Such is life. Night everyone. Aileen xx

I know exactly how you feel Aileen, I work with the elderly too, and no matter how hard you try not to get attached to them, it does hurt when they finally go. I have come to the conclusion that if it does not hurt, I'm not doing my job properly.
