Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 21 Apr 2007 00:48

I just received something regarding an inheritance from a Henry Cox which caught my attention as I had some Coxs linked to my mother, but reading it through I realised it wasn't right so sent it to report spam.

Kate - I did type the e-mail address using all the normal tricks, brackets round the dots etc. but they kept disappearing when I sent my message. My e-mail from 'Actionaid' went straight into Junk Mail too, but when I saw what it was I thought I should let the real Action Aid know. Liz

For some reason, Liz, they won't let you put web addresses or e-mail addresses on the message boards - I don't know why, perhaps they think it counts as advertising. You could always put brackets round the dots or substitute another symbol. And, Rebekah, I have that problem too, actually. Especially those bank scam e-mails. It never occurred that it might be to do with joining this site.

I got an email from them at 4.09pm today, went straight into my spam folder. Funnily enough, since joining GR my spam rubbish has quadrupled...

Obviously GR doesn't want me to give the correct e-mail. However, the first part shows up in the previous posting, then after 'at' you need to type 'actionaid' followed by 'org'. If GR doesn't let this through, then anyone who is interested can send me a pm and I will give the correct e-mail address. Liz

For some reason the e-mail address of the correct charity has not shown up properly, it is supporterservices at actionaid dot org Liz

This is just to let you know that I have received a scam e-mail telling me I am a beneficiary of a grant from Actionaid. I telephoned Actionaid, as it is obviously having it's name used wrongly. If anyone else gets one of these e-mails, will you please forward it to: supporterservices@actionaid*org (changing the * to a fullstop) and marking it for the attention of Hermira. This way the charity will be able to do something about it. Liz
