Just spoken to m-i-l, her dad is comfortable but is getting very drowsy. Drip and oxygen were withdrawn on Thursday and the palliative care team have put morphine and anti-nausea drugs on standby. He is awake enough to hear m-i-l talking and when asked if he was in pain was able to shake his head 'no'. It sounds as if he will just fall gently to sleep over the next couple of days. Thanks everyone - no more news so far. Sue - I presume you mean a tube thru the skin to the tummy? The problem is that he has been pulling out the drips in his arms/groin/feet so they don't feel it is safe to do. Maz. XX |
