I sent an email to Genes telling them that I am not able to view other members trees when I had been given permission. This is the answer I got back, I was doing this way but still can't get to view other peoples trees is this happening to you? if so add to this thread as I am getting fed up with trying. Clicking on 'shared trees' will now take you to the Your Contacts page. Along the list of contacts names you will see it says 'Tree permissions' and just below that 'can you see their tree?'. If the other member has allowed you to view their tree, you will see it says ' yes view' followed by a small tree icon. Click on this to view the other member's tree. If they have not yet allowed you to view their tree you will see it says 'no ask them'. If you click on this you can send them another email to ask them if you can view their tree. A copy of this email will be in your sent items folder. You can also view another member's tree from the My Family Tree page. In the top right hand corner you will see it says 'other member's trees' and below that a drop down box with a list of all the other trees you can view. Click on the name you want to view and the page will refresh showing you the other member's tree. In the column on the left hand side of the page if you click on Shared Trees you will see a list of trees you are able to view. This will take you to your contacts page where you can view the trees available to you. To search for a relation in another member's tree select 'search' at the top of the page. You can then enter the name of the relation you wish to view. In the search results click on the name and you will be taken to their place in the tree. If you choose to view the results for the whole site, this will take you to our main search results page. You must be upgraded to view another member's tree.
