HMS Kirkham, near Blackpool has the highest rate of prison escapes in England and Wales. 778 inmates have absconded in the past 5yrs. It was therefore a surprise to find someone trying to BREAK IN. The culprit put….heroin, cannabis, steroid tablets, 3ltrs vodka, three bottles of Southern Comfort and Bacardi, 80 cigarettes, 18 DVD’s, two mobile phones, top-up cards and phone chargers in a wheelie bin. These were for his brother to sell to other inmates. He was apprehended and his accomplice who drove off at high speed was later apprehended. Two men aged 20 and 27 have been bailed to return to Blackpool police station on suspicion of supplying drugs. I’m not making it up. It’s true. |
