I loved spangles but they had to be the old english flavour. Uncle joes mintballs from wigan taste similar. Yummy I liked the tobacco too I think it was made of coconut. Can you remember when you used to get 4 gummy teddy bears for 1p now they are 30p for a bag with about 15 in. Ooh I just remembered I used to like the chewing gum that tasted like tcp. Jackie:o)

Jackie I liked dipping liquorice in sherbert too - rainbow crystals or Amercian cream soda. Your bag would be all sticky and you always ran out of liquorice so had to eat the rest with a wet finger! Debby

I liked sherbet but my mum banned me from it cos I choked on it.lol She also banned me from space dust, but it was my fault, I wanted an extra buzz and put 2 packets in my mouth, and once again I choked. Jackie:o)

Anyone remember Bazooka bubble gum? It was wrapped in waxy paper and if you saved so many up, you could send off for a free gift but can't remember what the fee gifts were! Debby

Jackie, I remember the chewing gum (or was it bubble gum) that tasted like TCP. Why would we eat that do you think? I also liked sherbet dabs (sherbet with a toffee lolly to dip), sherbet fountain, spangles, sweet tobacco (it was coconut), sherbet lemons, penny chews ( actually i think it was two for an old penny) Ann Glos
