Goody Bags were known as Jubilee/Jubbly bags back in the early 60s......Sweeties and a toy....Cost 3d (not p). Another Jubbly was a frozen pyramid of orange falvoured ice....Also cost 3d. Chris

sweet peanuts,chocolate logs,sherbet pips,curly wirlys(about a foot long and twice as thick)spearmint,nutty bars(anyone remember them)fudge covered in peanuts yum!pear drops,aniseed twists,and of course spangles.xxxx

Colin I remember Jap Desserts, little square things orange, yellow, pink and brown. I wasn't that keen on them. My favourite was a bulls eye I haven't seem them about for years. Berylx

Yes Ann you are right it was bubble gum, the only reason I used to have them was because i liked the taste but I know my brother had them because you couldn't smell he had been smoking. lol Jackie

I liked Spangles too mainly the orange ones, I used to like Mojos as well, little chewy sweets - they were great as you would get 4 for 1P - showing me age there !! oops !! My favourites though are Rhubarb and Custards. xx

Jackie, I remember the chewing gum (or was it bubble gum) that tasted like TCP. Why would we eat that do you think? I also liked sherbet dabs (sherbet with a toffee lolly to dip), sherbet fountain, spangles, sweet tobacco (it was coconut), sherbet lemons, penny chews ( actually i think it was two for an old penny) Ann Glos

Anyone remember Bazooka bubble gum? It was wrapped in waxy paper and if you saved so many up, you could send off for a free gift but can't remember what the fee gifts were! Debby

Jacki, yes do remember the gummy bears, good value for money they were! Remember getting into trouble at school for chewing one of those tcp chewys during assembly.(he he) xx
