I think they should be made to turn up every night and explain to the disappointed children why there are no lights. Or alternatively lug the lights in and out every day. They would soon stop others doing it then. Jay |

cant you hire a burglar to visit their house on christmas eve. Would love to see their reaction when they recieve no pressies from santa. Maybe they would then think about what naughty things they had done only joking I really dont understand why people like to ruin others pleasures. Its not interferring with their way of life so they should leave well alone. |

Hi, How very upsetting for you. You have to wonder at the mentality of some individuals who cause this type of senseless vandalism. You want to make a nuisance of yourself to the police otherwise you will get nowhere. Hope this year sees a stop to this type of nonsence. We had our own 'in house' vandal. FIL bless him walked into our thru lounge and didn't see that the floor was covered in Xmas lights which hubby was testing. Stood on the flipping lot! Have a good day. Aileen xxxx(UK) |

That's awful Patricia, and such a shame. It's difficult to understand why the police haven't followed up on this seeing as they caught the youngsters red-handed. |

Next weekend we will put up our annual Christmas Light Display. As each year goes by, we buy more lights only to have more vandalised. After they wreck what we now have there will be no more. We have to bring in all the large display each night. Very time consuming. The neighbours called the police, who caught 4 15-18 year old smashing all the fairy lights last year. Told police we wanted parents to pay for damage. Have not heard anything since. The biggest losers will be our grandchildren and all the other children who come each night to watch them.
