Tiggy oggy..is it a real word??!!!!

My Devonshire Granny who lived in Bodmin, Cornwall always called a conish pasty a tiggy oggy...she told me that that was the correct name for them, I have called them by the same name ever since.......has anybody else heard it? J

I live in Devon, I thought it was a teddy oggy, but I could be wrong, certainly hear it a lot down here.( just noticed I spelt it wrong,) teddy as in potatoe. Sunny R

Yes! My Gran, born in Cornwall,lived for a time in Devon, also called them tiggy oggy's. maggie

Ahha ! Now this proves to my family that I'm not completely nuts! They think its something I made up ! Oh those were the days, all those summer holidays in Cornwall. I haven't been there since my honeymoon in 1983. Janine

There is a bit of a controversy going on here and in Cornwall as to who first made the 'cornish' pasty. Apparently Devon is claiming they were first to make it.? There's a baker's shop in Falmouth, who make the most delicious pasties. Sunny R
