What do you reckon? I personnaly think, that its the second most natural thing in the world (After the naked human body) so why are people so prudish about it? You wouldn't stop a pig suckling in public!

Urinating is a natural bodily function also.............. Reg

Paul I cant agree more, I breastfed in public but always discreetly and people never really knew unless they looked closely , I better hadnt get too involved as I feel strongly about this, Caz x

Strange that the human breast is on display all over the place as a sex object. But rarely seen fulfilling its' natural function.

How about this then? A new law giving mothers the right to breastfeed in public has come into effect in Scotland. It is an offence to stop nursing mothers from feeding their babies in places like bars, buses and shopping centres. Owners can be fined up to £2500. Denis.

I breastfed both my babies in public, discreetly, each of them for a year, and I never had a single person complain to me about it. Breastfed babies need feeding very frequently, and if you happen to be out when a feed is due, you HAVE to feed them, as the milk 'lets down' into the breast as soon as the baby cries! Dee x

Caz and Dee - the 'let down' reflex - how mad and uncomfortable did you get when someone else let their baby cry!! I fed both mine until they were each 22 months - and in public - not that anyone saw. I was even feeding the eldest at the health clinic when my name was called - the nurse got quite tetchy when I didn't jump up immediately - she didn't realise I was feeding. maggie

Yes Maggie, how awful was that! Middle of the Co-op, bit of last minute shopping and a baby cries in the next aisle! Two wet patches on my blouse and a very red face! Dee x
