Remember my parents having it in the cupboard at christmas Advocat or something-what does it taste like? I always used to look at the bottle and think that looks yummy like custard-but I never had it. Do you get it in? catherine xx

Funny, I saw some earlier this week, while out shopping and went on a trip down 'Memory Lane'. I haven't bought any for many years. Some people drank it with lemonade mixed in, - a snowball. Egg flip was a less creamy version and drank neat. I think they have a sherry / port taste ? Gwyn

Snowballs, Dad used to let me have a small one at christmas, Advoca, lemonade and a cherry to top it off. Haven't had one in years. Have tried egg nog too but not as keen on that. My aunt-in-law makes it fresh every christmas. Fiona. x Forgot to add that a Snowball should be made with Advoca and Babycham, dad would never let me have it that way though!! :((

Hayley, You just reminded me, Cherry B and cider. Loved it, couldn't drink too many though as I was soon flat on my back. I've still got some of the babysham and cherry B glasses from years ago, old land lady was selling up and she gave them to me. Fiona. x

I used to work in a pub too Hayley. Tended to stay away from the snakebites, seem to send SOME of our customers a little funny, and not in a laughing way. Fiona. x
