thanks girls. I do try to give myself a manicure and sometimes polish but I often see people with lovely nails and wonder how they get them to look so good. AS i say dont think they would last long in my job but maybe a christmas treat to myself

Hi, I've always had talons but can't do them properly myself any more because of carpel tunnel syndrome. I have acrylic wraps on the tips these days to try to keep them long. As I've got older they have become less strong, I go every three weeks to have the tips removed and replaced and a manicure. It costs £14. If I break one low down I have a fake on until the nail grows but they don't break often and they grow very fast. Gwynne

i use to have my nails done acrylic ones which cost £30 and then from £15 evert 6 weeks depending on if i had broke any. After 5 years I deceided to have them removed my nails were a total mess. I now treat them with some sally henson sea weed stuff ( cant remeber the name). They are so nice and strong now every now and then i go to the salon to have a manicure, which is so nice and a fraction of the cost at £7.75

What do you have done to yours and how much does it cost?..................................... Just read that Gwynne is having her nails done today. I have never had anything done to mine but they get into a terrible state at work and have often thought about treating myself at the salon.
