You could also try National Archives online, they cover military. Cheers Margaret.

I have just got my grandparents marriage certificate. But unfortunately it did not give me there dates of birth. My grandad was a second lieutenant in the first world war is there anywere I could look to try to find him. Any information would be very greatly appreciated thank Lynne. ps hope you are all OK
