Hi Amanda, I know this isn't about what people say because they come from certain places, but my other half works with a lady who is always mixing her phrases up and yet you can still tell what she means - for example - the other day she said 'Ooh, you want to knock that in the bud' which is a cross between knocking it on the head and nipping it in the bud. She has also said 'She could pin the hind leg off a donkey!'. She does it all the time without realising but she does cheer me up! Regards, Cherie |
