I think some pople are reluctant to assist because of fear of recriminations. This happened with the other half and friend when they witnessed an attack on an old man. OH and friend called the police and ran to the scene by which point in time the offenders had run off. The police actually knew who had committed the offence (they are well known in the area). The police asked OH to be a witnesses for a court case but did warn there could be recriminations (something the group were known for) and provided us with an emergency number in case anything happened. Is it no wonder then that people are reluctant to step in and help when there is a possibility that they put themselves and their families at risk? By the way the other half was a witness and there have been no recriminations. |

Amanda If thats the way they live then so be it - but not in public and not in front of kids, what can you do? Kicking 10 bells of c*** out of anyone isnt acceptable, where were the security, and isnt it sad that the 2 people who go to the rescue are a pensioner and a mother with a buggy! That to me says it all.. What sort of a world do we live in eh? Debs x |

Amanda I truly understand what your saying, about 11 yrs ago I saw a man knocking 10 bells of c*** out of his girlfriend/wife, in a high street, believe me I was the only who said anything and I did say anything, men walked past and ignored it. Well he stopped and she had the cheek to have a go at me for stopping him, told me it was none of my business, Ok I said but if you want to fight you dont do it in front of your young son in a town!! Hi Amanda I will say yes but I really don't know. I was being verbally attacked in the street a few years ago - broad daylight, He had punched a woman previously she ran into a shop (I assume she was helped), then he started screaming at me and threatening me I was at the bus stop and everyone just walked past, In the end a traffic warden was walking past I made him stop and he said 'its none of my business' I think it is just the way the world is Vikkix |

Has the world gone mad? Have seen some shocking things in my time, A few weeks ago a Man was kicking the BeeGeebees out of some lad lying on the floor, and im talking about serious kicking to the head! Even Worse it was just out side our local shopping centre. Everybody walked passed!! A few stopped and stared in disbelief i suppose! Any way Rushed over as fast as i could with a pram in tow, then an Elderly Gentleman tried to break it up!! An Elderly Gentleman!! ! I can understand some people not wanting to get in the way or wanting to get involved as seems some people who do end up getting hurt or worse! but i was so appauled!! What do you think? Would any1 else intervene If they came across a realy bad situation? Any view would be great please. Thanks Amanda |
