I was told, that MRSA, is the result of many years of treating people with antibiotics, and now the bug has grown resistant and is occuring in the older generation, because they have been treated the longest, with antibiotics ..... Bob

Thankyou Linda. Dad went into hospital last February and has been there ever since. He did spend 7 weeks home but has now been back in for nearly 3 weeks. Started off with a chest infection. Then pneumonia. Then MRSA reared its head and now this. I have no faith in the hospitals at all after all this. Alyson

Hi Caz. I cannot really see any symptoms that my Dad may have. This has come completely out of the blue. The doctors thought it was the MRSA but now say it is this bug.. Alyson

Pseudomonas P aeruginosa is the most common in hospitals. People with burns or in-dwelling catheters often catch it. If your immune system is low, then P aeruginosa may get a foothold. Can be hard to treat with antibiotics. Pus is blue-green colour
