Mum is going to be moved to another Hospital today. It specialises in recuperation after Strokes etc., but is a lot farther away from me. I am pleased that they feel that she is recovering well, but dreading the journey each day to visit her. |

She will get the best care there Carol, as you say, it is a specialist stroke unit. For better than vegetating in a geriatric ward, like my MIL had to. I wish her well xx |

Last week 3 men were put into her 6 bedded ward. She may be 91 but it perked her up no end, got quite chatty she did. I am waiting for a phone call to let me know she is on route to new Hosp. before I leave to visit. Transport was booked for 2!!!! |

Hi Carol, didn't realise your mum had had a stroke - mine had (we think) a small one last week. She has been in hosp since last thursday and is STILL waiting for a CT scan to confirm it. She's got a man in the next bed - but she doesn't like men much these days pmsl so is not amused! Hope your mum goes from strength to strength at the new hospital. Maz. XX |
