Join the club Paul. Mine turned up today even though despatch date was 7 November. I wouldn't mind so much but they were printed on 2 November. Where have they been until now? Dawn |

Hi Margaret, The answer is yes, the are being *despatched* on time BUT since the change from the PO to TNT for handling their mail, instead of taking a couple of days after that to arrive, they seem to be taking 5-7 days!! So, you will have to wait about an extra week. I put a similar answer on someone else's thread a few days ago, and urged everyone to phone, e-mail, or write to the ONS and complain about the time it is taking for the certs to arrive. Also, the people who have been sitting waiting patiently for weeks! for certs to arrive, to keep on at them. This is the only way, they are likely to consider changing again. Where the certs haven't been received after about 10days+ ONS have been offering to send out another set, free. They won't do this too many times before calling TNT to task over their delivery times! The despatch date is not the delivery date. Dispatch is when they were sent to the dispatch office to be sent out, hopefully that day. When they arrive is up to either TNT or the post office. |

I understand that the GRO send certificates to TNT to sort who then pass the mail to the Royal Mail to be delivered, so that is where the hold up is. I rather go through the Registry Office nearest to where the certificate was first issued, that way it goes straight to Royal Mail to be delivered. |
