Could some kind person,please tell me what campaigns that Prince Charles has ever been involved in,while serving for HM services.Only reason for asking is,he seemed to have a good haul of medals on his chest over the weekend. |

Looking on google its a question often asked try this site http://www.princeofwales.gov.uk/about/bio_armed_services.html found this elsewhere At the Trafalgar Review Prince Charles wore six medals. What were they? The Prince of Wales wore the following medals during the Fleet Review in 2005: The Queen's Service Order(New Zealand), awarded 1983 The Coronation medal, awarded in 1953 The Silver Jubilee medal, awarded in 1977 The Golden Jubilee medal, awarded in 2002 The Canadian forces decoration, awarded in 2002 The New Zealand commemorative medal, awarded in 1990 In addition, His Royal Highness wore the neck order of The Order of Merit, which was awarded in 2002, and the Garter Star, which was awarded in 1968. He hasn't earned any of his own,but any member of a family be it male or female serving in hm forces is entitled to wear their dads medals. Hope this gives you some explanation.Fred. |
