Annie problem is her bed is in our room and she has got into the routine of me staying upstairs with her to get her to sleep and as I go to bed early she tries and stays up if I wont sleep with her. Got to the point where I was upstairs all evening and hubby was downstairs so never got any time together. Has gone a bit quieter for a bit!!!!

I know this is a bit controversial but have you thought about waiting a couple of months before trying again. I was always reassured by my family doctor a father of five who used to say things like 'they won't want to sleep with you when they are eight'. They didn't. Anne (mother of five).

Dawn, I feel for you, but after a couple of nights persevering, tiddler will realise you mean she has to stay in bed and all will be well. Sunny R

I want to go to bed to rest my weary bones but hubby wont let me as tiddler wont go to sleep and keeps crying and screaming for me, I would just go up and go to bed with her but he is being strict to try and break her habit, its torture listening to her screaming and crying
